Go to the museum more often, a resolution for 2025? In any case, it is that of Frédérique Le Teurinier, culture columnist for “You are Formidable! », which shares three of its next visits, from to Nîmes via Lodève.

What do these exhibitions have in common? They all address the theme of imagination and dreams to amaze and give hope at the start of the year.

Tapestry is a subject that may seem dated: think again! The Lodève Museum is organizing an exhibition that stands out and allows you to discover an enchanted elsewhere: the expression of the imagination through this age-old art.

This exhibition is perfect for rediscovering tapestry, and changing painting with one stone.

Still with a dreamlike theme, the Carré d'Art, library and museum of contemporary art in Nîmes, highlights the world of the experimental artist Aleksandra Kasuba (1923-2023). This Lithuanian woman who emigrated to the United States is a pioneer in the design of artistic “environments”, and the heart of the exhibition shows how she “imagined the future” in the 1960s.

A work by Aleksandra Kasuba to be found in the exhibition. The artist's desire not to use the right angle is very present.

Le Carré d'Art offers for the first time in France the opportunity to delve into her vision of living spaces, all in a future that she saw as troubled. What emerges is an incredible and delirious work which gives the impression of walking in interstellar ships made of colors and rounded shapes.

DATES : From October 25, 2024 to March 23, 2025.

PRICES : Single ticket – Full: 8 €, Reduced: 6 €. Guided tour – Full: 11 Reduced: 9 €.

Don't miss the cultural gems of the past year! There are only a few days left to go to the José-Cabanis Media Library in Toulouse to admire the “Bestiary and Sketches” exhibition by François Delarozière and the La Machine company.

Names behind these articulated creatures who wander throughout France and whose worldwide show “The Guardian of the Temple – The Door of Darkness” proved to be grandiose during its passage through the streets of Toulouse. The exhibition is perfect for discovering behind the scenes, the close link between drawing and machine design, but also and above all, they are works of art!

DATES : From October 15, 2024 to January 19, 2025.

RATES : Free entry subject to availability
