Blake Lively breaks the silence. Several months after the film's release It Ends With Usin which she played the main role, the actress accuses Justin Baldoni, the director – and her on-screen partner – of sexual harassment during filming, several media report.
In a complaint filed Friday, she accuses Justin Baldoni of trying to organize a vast denigration plan in order to damage her reputation and claims to have suffered “serious emotional harm”, specifies Variety.
A smear campaign after denunciations
This smear campaign allegedly came following a meeting in early 2024, during which Blake Lively denounced “repeated sexual harassment and other disturbing behavior” from Justin Baldoni and another producer of the film, writes The Parisian. She would have notably shared a kiss scene imposed by the director but also indiscreet conversations about her sex life. The actress also accuses producer Jamey Heath of having entered her dressing room without her permission when she was breastfeeding her child or of having shown her a video of his wife, naked, giving birth.
“I hope that my legal action will help lift the veil on these sinister retaliatory tactics aimed at harming those who speak out about professional misconduct,” Blake Lively told the New York Times.
A “shameful” complaint and “completely false” accusations, Justin Baldoni’s lawyer reacted in a press release. “This is a desperate attempt to repair his bad reputation which is linked to his statements and his actions during the promotional campaign for the film,” he added, according to BFMTV.
