Pexiora. Young talents for a great concert

It is the Pexiora village hall that the Piège Lauragais Malepère intercommunal music school had chosen for its Christmas concert. Director Jeanne Labatut presented this evening composed of two parts. After the soloists on different instruments, it was the orchestra which closed the program.

An evening which allowed some to discover the different instruments taught in this school and the teachers who work. Thus, several students in the piano class led by Naïra Yaver and Svetlana Kostando performed in works by Bach, Pachelbel, Lizst, Fauré, Handel and Haydn. We were even able to listen to a young pianist accompanying his sister on the violin. The trumpet class led by Eric Robert took over. Among the trombones, we discovered Timothé Bitoun, from Pexiora, with his teacher, Bramais Jean-Claude Alquier. The numerous saxophones performed in orchestra formation with Henri Ciprian. To close this superb Christmas concert, the entire orchestra took place on the stage of the village hall. Various very eclectic works, from Anne Sylvestre to Maurice Jarre via Tchaikovsky, were brilliantly performed under the baton of Jean Brunet.

Let's hope that the next concert of the intercommunal music school takes place again in Pexiora. The mayor and his deputies were present at this evening. A big congratulations to these young musicians and their teachers.
