The Rotary Cosne-Sancerre has not forgotten them

Cosne-Cours-sur-. Eve of the forgotten in Cours. Around twenty Rotarians and their spouses were present, Friday evening, for the New Year's Eve of the Forgotten, alongside around a hundred people who were not used to these things.

In partnership with other associations which work for the well-being of others including the Restos du Cœur, the Red Cross, the Secours Catholique, the Secours Populaire, the ADMR of Sancerre and the Passerelle Berrichonne, the Rotary Cosne Sancerre has set up a New Year's Eve meal a little early.

The organizers have favored families with children, single people or people in difficulty, in order to offer a New Year's Eve menu.

After the appetizers, the guests tasted a gourmet éclair, fromage frais with herbs and gravlax salmon, then a chicken fondant stuffed with caramelized apples, gratin dauphinois and forest flan, cheese and, to end the meal well, the traditional log Christmas.

Everything was in place for the guests to spend a pleasant evening allowing them to escape their difficulties for a moment.

The meal gave way to a children's show lasting around fifty minutes, perfectly orchestrated by Pascaline. This show entitled Pascaline and the funny animals is a musical tale where we find Mathurin, Bob known as the donkey and many characters for this story which takes place on the happiness farm, meeting animals almost all of them funny. All enhanced with puppet music and surprises.

The evening ended with the distribution of gifts to the children. The municipality of Cosne helped with this animation. The Auchan store wrapped the gifts. The centerpieces were offered by Vitagri.

An operation that dates back to 2010

The final word goes to Jacques Maurin, Rotarian, who notes with a little bitterness that the start of this operation dates back to 2010 and that it would be good to be able to do without it in the near future, and that the guests are no longer “forgotten”.
