The youth of a king
Movie theater. Thirty years after the release of one of Disney's greatest classics, Mufasa returns to the big screen with a live action film directed by Barry Jenkins, Oscar winner in 2016 for Moonlight. Mufasa : the Roi Lion tells the story of Simba's father in a highly anticipated prequel, which combines live-action techniques and digital images to immerse viewers in breathtaking African landscapes.
We discover that Mufasa, far from being a prince, is an orphaned lion cub, who forms an alliance with Taka (the latter is the future Scar, who will become his enemy in the original film released in 1994). But for now, Mufasa is not yet king and Scar has no claim to his throne. They are just two lion cubs fighting together to escape a formidable enemy. The British actor Aaron Pierre signs the voice (in original version) of Mufasa, the American Kelvin Harrison Jr, that of Taka, and Beyoncé that of Nada. The film promises to be an event.
Currently in theaters.
Humour et patchwork
Spectacle. The Marrakech du laughter audience still remembers it: in 2022, Ilyes Djadel participated in the evening celebrating the tenth anniversary of the humor meeting in the ocher city. Two years later, the 25-year-old comedian from Hazebrouck (France) returns to Morocco with a new show in which he dares to mix artistic genres.
Discovered on the stand-up scene at 16, then noticed by Kev Adams who offered him an opening act in Lille, he has since created his own universe. His new show relies on a multidisciplinary team: alongside his stage partners Mahé and Wesley Weigel, he integrates the musical performances of Yassine Saxo, the choreographies of Studio X and B-boys (breakdance) shows.
December 22 at the Studio des arts vivants in Casablanca.
