Travis Kelce could soon end his football career. The 35-year-old, who is currently dating Taylor Swift, actually indicated he may soon leave the NFL after his team, the Kansas City Chiefs, beat the Cleveland Browns 21-7 over the weekend.
Travis, who grew up in Cleveland Heights, said on the “New Heights” podcast: “It was so surreal. I don’t know if it’s the last time I play in Cleveland, but I had the feeling like I’m giving it one last hurrah before calling it a day, because I’ve only played it twice in 12 years.”
Travis noted that due to NFL scheduling, he may have already played his very last game in Cleveland.
The star added: “Unless we’re thrown in there in the next couple of years, I don’t think it’ll ever happen again.”
Earlier this year, Travis insisted he had no plans to retire from the NFL.
The Kansas City Chiefs star, who has become one of the most high-profile athletes in the world given his relationship with Taylor, revealed he has no plans to retire from the NFL, even though he lifted the Super Bowl trophy in early 2024.
During an appearance on the “Rich Eisen Show,” Travis said, “It hasn’t crossed my mind at all. I think the excitement of this year’s challenge, being able to maybe to do it a third time in a row – I think that’s all I needed. I thought about it straight away, and there was really no chance I wouldn’t come back this year.
