To everyone’s surprise, Julie has one last chance to join the “Star Academy” tour which will begin next February. This Saturday, December 21, the repechage bonus will take place on TF1: the eliminated academicians will take the stage again to seduce the public and win this final place.
For Julie, it’s a twist of theater that gives hope after her elimination at the gates of the tour. “This announcement was a real shock,” confides the 19-year-old singer on Instagram. “It’s an adventure full of emotions. I am extremely happy and I thank the production for this new opportunity.”
The Swiss, once again, cannot vote directly during the prime, an obstacle that Julie’s loved ones have decided to get around. Norah Demierre, the candidate’s sister, took matters into her own hands by offering a prize pool.
“Votes can only be made during the prime,” explains Norah. “Anyone who wishes to lend their French phone to vote for Julie can contact me. Based on a video screenshot allowing the votes to be checked, a refund will be made in the following days thanks to the prize pool.”
This initiative, already tested during the votes last November, testifies to the enthusiasm of an entire community around Julie. The people of French-speaking Switzerland are mobilizing en masse to allow their protégé to realize her dream. Last time, more than 11,000 francs were collected.
On stage, Julie will have to compete against six other eliminated candidates, including Emma, currently at the top of the polls. The competition promises to be tough, but the young Swiss woman lacks neither energy nor determination.
“I was so close to this tour, I touched it with my fingertips. Obviously, I always dream about it,” explains the resident of Carrouge, before adding: “I would like to spend these crazy moments with my friends and with you. In any case, we are about to experience exceptional moments on this prime.”
