A more than surprising project! During an episode of the “Beyond the Records” podcast, MrBeast announced the theme of his upcoming video. The YouTube superstar, with 337 million subscribers on his main channel, wants to privatize several pyramids of Giza!
MrBeast, considered the biggest YouTuber in the world, will stop at nothing to perpetuate his reign. Although the project has still not been filmed, the American entrepreneur has already started to immerse himself in the scene. “We visited the three pyramids of Egypt for 100 hours,” he said. For the filming, he claims to have private access to the site for almost a week and would have obtained authorization to sleep inside with friends. “I’m going to make a video where they let me explore whatever I want in the pyramids,” he continued.

The objective: to show his Internet users new places “that no one has seen in public”, and that he himself does not know. “I had never been there. I just want to find secrets and go through all the rooms and tombs and stuff like that,” he said. After explaining that his team will bring “all kinds of gadgets”, notably for a ghost hunt, he revealed that he was “very excited” and did not know “what to expect”.

In parallel with its atypical exploration, MrBeast unveiled on December 19 an almost equally grandiose achievement: the “Beast Games”. A reality show where 1000 participants compete in 41 events to try to win the $5 million prize. Like “Squid Game”, the competitors are numbered, we can see in the teaser. Announced by the content creator as “the greatest game show in history”, it would have broken forty world records!
The game, the first two episodes of which have been visible since this Thursday on Amazon Prime Video, however, would have cost nearly 100 million dollars, according to the American press. “We spent 14 million dollars to build a city in a field where the participants live and compete,” announced MrBeast before adding: “I gave away a Lamborghini, a private island and more than 10 million dollars in addition to the grand prize.

A complaint filed by former candidates
Highly anticipated for months, the concept nevertheless found itself in turmoil. After numerous accusations, five candidates sued the YouTuber for poor filming conditions on September 16. The lack of hygiene, food and the exploitation of the participants were singled out. Cases of sexual harassment were also reported.
While MrBeast had blamed the global IT outage as an external factor in this poor organization, he has not spoken out since.
