Cathy renovated an old physiotherapy office into a welcoming place to practice yoga in Lavelanet

the essential
For years, Cathy Lhote has been providing yoga for everyone, individually or in groups, in a living space.

Cathy Lhote, a qualified teacher from the French Hatha Yoga Federation, Qualiopi certified after hours and hours of training, now practices her activity in her own walls, “Le studio de yoga”, located at 21 rue Cassin in Lavelanet. She completely rehabilitated and transformed a former physiotherapy office into a welcoming, serene, relaxing place, “a place to live” she assures.

At the entrance, a space with armchairs precedes a delicately decorated corridor which leads to the yoga room with a changing room of 50 m2. A beautiful space with shimmering decorations and colors, a glass door opening onto a small pleasure garden. “It’s an intimate space for 8 to 10 people maximum, it allows me to pay attention to everyone.”

For adults, children, individuals, groups…

Cathy Lhote offers yoga individually, in groups, and for people with disabilities, she listens and adapts to all requests. And also for children, postures, breathing, relaxations, and a fun approach. “A lot of people come to calm down, manage stress, take care of their heads and their bodies, which they get to know, and thus better get through the sometimes complicated moments of life,” explains Cathy. They also come for body maintenance, it’s also a physical activity, it’s not just meditation.”

Cathy Lhote wants to bring respect for the body and restore self-confidence. “In yoga, we are actors, everything we learn, we bring it with us and we reproduce it in everyday life. Yoga provides several tools to use on a daily basis, how to become serene again for example.” Yoga is open to everyone: “You can try, you don’t need to be flexible,” she smiles.
The new thing on Saturday is the introduction of yoga with therapists. A sort of partnership for yoga on 10 senses, sound journeys, reflexology, learning to eliminate negative emotions…
