TNA Resolution 2024 marked the grand return of Tessa Blanchard to TNA. A return to relative controversy since her last stint in the federation ended with the wrestler taking over the Knockout title, all sprinkled with accusations of racism. An episode that has not been forgotten by social networks where real hostility was demonstrated by some towards Blanchard’s return.
A situation to which Booker T wanted to react via his podcast Hall of Fame :
“I’ve seen the criticism of Tessa Blanchard make a comeback and people continue to want her to be cancelled. Stop with that! The thing is, If things were said but there was an apology and everything is fixed, we should move on.
The problem with social media is that everyone knows everything about everything but no one really knows what’s going on. My opinion is that you should stop throwing all this hatred at him. Leave it to Tessa Blanchard to try to revive her career. Consider it all a remake.”
The NXT commentator then elaborated on Blanchard’s career and one element in particular that he considers to have been a mistake regarding his booking :
“I have always been a big fan of in-ring of Tessa Blanchard, but when TNA gave her the World Championship, I was the first to oppose the decision and declare that it was the worst choice TNA had made since its inception. Guess what? I was 100% right.
It’s certain that we want a business that is constantly more attractive, but there are lines that should not be crossed because once crossed, we can’t go back, and that’s how I have it. seen.”
We will see in the coming months if Blanchard will succeed in regaining a place of choice in TNA.
