A mini Japanese Christmas market at Les Comptes in Neudorf
Want to break away from the clichés and opt for “another” Christmas market? Head to the third place Les Compote, in Neudorf, where three enthusiasts of Japan wishing to transmit their passion and share their knowledge and know-how linked to the archipelago are organizing this Saturday, December 21, the third edition of the Mikan market.
Fourteen exhibitors
Amélie Manchoulas, graphic designer and illustrator specializing in risography, Mehdi Abid, shiatsu practitioner who trained in Tokyo and Hannah Lafargue, second-hand dealer specializing in Japanese objects – she opened Tanpopo last spring, rue Sainte-Madeleine – are at the origin of this atypical mini-Christmas market a hundred miles from the hustle and bustle of the city center.
Fourteen exhibitors are expected. Illustrations, publishing, jewelry, baking, bookbinding, flea markets, vegetable dyeing, illustrated ceramics, furoshiki, mugicha, savory vegetarian cuisine and other floral decorations will be offered.
Four workshops
Four workshops will also be organized throughout the day. The opportunity to learn about Japanese bookbinding with Léa Hussenot, to learn more about Daruma thanks to Atelier Sully; to see life in blue and discover some traditional folding and knotting techniques with Indigo & Shibori, or to learn how to tie a kimono obi with Tanpopo!

Recital on the new Koenig organ at the Dominican church in Strasbourg
For the first anniversary of the Koenig organ at the Dominicans, André Zimmermann, co-owner of the organ and his daughter Raphaëlle on trumpet will perform works for organ and trumpet and organ alone around Johann Sebastian Bach, his predecessors and his contemporaries.
Christmas mystery
Through works by Jean-Sébastien Bach, Georg-Friedrich Handel, Joseph Haydn, Andreas Kneller, Ludwig Krebs, Johann Pachelbel, Jean-Baptiste Loeillet, but also more recent works by the Benedictine Dom Paul Benoit, the new Koenig organ will illustrate the Christmas mystery: God made flesh among us.
The listener will notably be able to hear the famous pastorale for organ by Johann Sebastian Bach whose subject of the fugue refers to a Christmas carol: Resonet in laudibus.
Part of the Strasbourg organ landscape
The first solemn vespers of the 4the Advent Sunday will close this concert which will allow the timbres of this magnificent organ to be heard once again, now well established in the Strasbourg organ landscape.
