The actress came to tell her journey from sunlights to her nights under bridges. The story of a rebirth to say that everything is always possible…

Mallaury Nataf, a young first-timer in the 90s and a destiny bruised by eight years of living on the street as a homeless person… before a resurrection. She was invited this Wednesday by the Saint-Stanislas institution to tell her story. The sitcom starlet Honey and Bees or Under the sun rather rocked the youth of their parents but middle and high school students who discovered her there listened attentively to the actress talking about her good years but also her struggles.

“It is important for us to share a time of fraternity during Advent, to remember that people live with less, with nothing sometimes and to show solidarity”recalls director Sophie Auphan.

Middle and high school students also donated their solidarity collection to the Red Cross and for orphans in Senegal.

Model, actress, singer… then homeless

Long blond hair, comfortable with the microphone in hand, Mallaury Nataf spoke with a smile to the students gathered in the courtyard : “School bothered me but I complied with the system and worked well… You have to succeed in your studies.”she tells them.

At 18, her life turned upside down… The fairy tale before the hell of the street! Spotted by a modeling agency – “I was very lucky, I’m only 1.69 m tall” – she shoots an ad for Coca-Cola which gives her a good income while her father cuts her off and which launches her career as an actress. “I did things thoroughly, ten castings a day…” and she is chosen to be the heroine of Honey and the Bees. For nine years, it’s the high life. Before finding herself homeless, broke, deprived of her three children, “the worst suffering”.

“I walked 15 hours a day, slept under bridges but people were generous, gave €20 to €50 a day. It was faith that saved meshe assures. When we are in the street we face ourselves, we learn who men are and we meet God.”

Today, she is writing a book about her life, would like to return to her profession as an actress “but prefers young people… Otherwise, I’ll become a waitress, I’ve always been very simple!”
