Nicole Kidman defends her right to grieve her mother as she wishes: “There are no limits”

Nicole Kidman wants to take the time to mourn her mother.

The actress lost her mother Janelle in September, who died aged 84, and insisted she needs time.

On CBS Sunday Mornings, she said, “Wow, three months in, and there’s no time limit on dealing with the grieving process: Three months in, people say to me, ‘Yeah, she was 84 years old, a good life…’. There is no time limit, there is no limit to healing. It’s my mother, my life, and I have the right to grieve as I wish.”

The star has four children and adds that she is aware that as an “older mother” she has to pay attention to her health.

She continues: “The last words my mother said to me before I got on the plane were: ‘Wait a minute, because you have to take care of yourself, Nicky.’ This is what I do more and more, and this is what I tell other people in the world. Women, in particular, tend not to take care of themselves. take care of everyone but yourself I’m an older mother and I want to be there for a long time for my girls, they are amazing and I’m lucky to have them, so I take care of myself so I can. take care of them I would like to be there during. a long time.”
