Marvel and Disney light up Moroccan cinemas on December 18

On December 18, 2024, Moroccan cinemas will welcome two highly anticipated films which promise to satisfy different audiences, between darkness and light. Marvel tackles one of its most complex figures with “Kraven the Hunter”, while Disney immerses us in the origins of the legendary Mufasa in “The Lion King”.

Kraven the Hunter: Vengeance and Darkness

Directed by JC Chandor, “Kraven the Hunter” explores the tumultuous origins of Sergeï Kravinoff, played by Aaron Taylor-Johnson. Marked by a broken childhood and gifted with superhuman powers, Kraven pursues a relentless quest for revenge against his father, played by Russell Crowe. With fascinating characters like Calypso, the Chameleon, and the mysterious Stranger, the film promises to be a thrilling adventure mixing voodoo magic and epic battles. Mufasa: The Lion King: a return to the heart of childhood

Under the direction of Barry Jenkins, Oscar-winning director of “Moonlight, Mufasa: The Lion King” revisits the lands of the African savannah with a moving story. This prequel to the famous 1994 classic traces the beginnings of Mufasa, an orphaned lion cub who discovers the power of friendship and the quest for his destiny. Blending live action and 3D animation, the film offers a captivating visual and musical experience, thanks to the compositions of Lin-Manuel Miranda.
