Like every year, the retirement home’s Christmas meal took place a little before Christmas in the restaurant room pleasantly decorated by the staff and residents, in the presence of the families, Ms. Denuc and Mr. Misse, representing the municipality. Cyrielle Ruggieri, the director of the establishment, underlined the importance of the social and affectionate bond that visits from families and friends represent for those who are in EHPADs. After the aperitif, the meal took place in a good atmosphere. It must be said that the kitchen had done wonders with well-decorated appetizers, salad from “chez nous” (with gizzards, dried duck breast, foie gras), sautéed d lamb and gratin dauphinois, and a huge Yule log (probably one of the longest in the department) which was cut to the applause of the guests. In the afternoon, the party continued with Yohan, a young entertainer from the region who made residents and families sing and dance until snack time. A good moment of sharing, much appreciated by all. An upcoming recreational event will celebrate the kings to start the year off right. There will be some new features announced by Cyrielle: adapted physical activities every 1st Saturday of the month from 4:30 p.m. to 5 p.m., open to all, and a tea dance every last Thursday of the month open to all seniors from Bram and surroundings.
