Minimalist in its form, but infinitely grand in its emotions, this show literally transported the spectators.
Friday evening, the company Gravity & Other Myths offered the public of the national stage of L’Arc a true contemporary circus gem with A Simple Space. Minimalist in its form, but infinitely grand in its emotions, this show literally transported the spectators.
On a refined stage, without decor or artifice, seven artists pushed the limits of the possible with breathtaking virtuosity. The acrobatics, performed just a few meters from the audience, vibrated with a raw and disarming intensity. Each movement seemed both instinctive and precise, each challenge met demonstrated absolute trust between the members of the troupe.
But beyond the impressive physical performances, it was humanity that shined on stage. The links between the artists, their almost palpable complicity, gave the show a deeply touching dimension. We could only be amazed by this perfect communion between body, heart and mind, and by the collective strength that emanated from this small group united as a single being.
A Simple Space is much more than a show: it is a celebration of human beauty, in its most dazzling simplicity. A rare and precious experience, which leaves the spectator both dazzled and inspired.
