THE GAME OF LOVE AND CHANCE Mr Orgon suggests that his daughter Silvia meet Dorante, in order to determine if she wishes to marry him. Worried that he is not showing his true colors, Silvia imagines a ploy to secretly observe him. She then decides to disguise herself as Lisette, her next, while the latter will play the role of Silvia. However, Dorante for her part, nourished by the same concerns, had the same idea by exchanging roles with her valet Harlequin. The four young people, in transvestites, will then meet and indulge in an experience of unexpected romantic seduction, under the gaze of Mr. Orgon and Mario, his son, amused by the situation.
