The show “Jubilä” is scheduled as part of the Pierres de Gué by Lavelanet-Culture in co-production with Estive, on Tuesday December 17 at 8:45 p.m. in the M.-Ch room. Barrault.
Les Pierres de Gué is a shared program for neighboring territories: Cathar Pyrenees, Limouxin and Audoise Pyrenees. “Jubilä” is the last show of the 2024 season of the Les Pierres de Gué program, which benefits the Lavelanetian scene.
With this solo performance, singer Leïla Martial plays with her voice, varying the moods, with virtuosity and humor. The show begins gently with a Prelude by Bach… the tone is set. The singer becomes “Jubilä”, a poetic character, exploring a plurality of tones and registers, without ever departing from great vocal technicality.
From original pieces to arrangements of classical and baroque works, she makes conversation on subjects caught on the fly, in a one-woman show style, then explodes into lyrical flights…
The concert-show becomes a field of musical and physical experimentation, where vocalizations are accompanied by computer-assisted music, toy pianos and slide whistles. The atmospheres transform throughout the show… Spontaneity prevails over narration, and the singer inhabits the stage, carries the room away, in this upheaval of voices and joy.
