La Croisée des Chemins publishes “Male heard”, the first novel by Amina Achour, professor of literature in Rabat. This novel tells a story that is as touching as it is interesting. Its main protagonist will leave the path of a traced life to walk unknown paths which will lead her to get to know… herself.
“In this first novel, Amina Achour paints the portrait of a woman whose life journey did not follow the path she had, at first glance, outlined. She implicitly poses several questions linked to the view of Moroccan society but also to the aspirations of a bourgeoisie torn between a thirst for freedom and a conformism of comfort,” indicates the publisher in an information note. Amina Achour is the author of several articles on French-speaking Moroccan literature and regularly hosts meetings.
In addition to being a member of the Icesco Rabat Chair: Letters and Comparative Arts, she is also part of the Parliament of French-speaking women writers. She participates in several conferences and seminars at the national and international levels. In 2015, she published Kilito en questions (La Croisée des Chemins) which was translated by Abdeslam Benabdelali in 2017 and published by Toubkal édition).
