Philippe Bouvard (96 years old) at the end, his last wish

Philippe Bouvard, living legend in the journalistic and media world, evokes one of his last wishes at the microphone of Le Parisien.

Dean of active journalists in , Philippe Bouvard, who joined Le Figaro as a courier in 1952, has announced that he is leaving the airwaves of RTL. “I made the decision, but little by little, to withdraw, to say goodbye or to say farewell (…) I lived and sometimes in which I participated, we will hear a trickle of what remains to me of voice. But it's over.he declared. The latter, aware that he is reaching the twilight of his life, recently expressed his last wish.

Philippe Bouvard's wish before dying

In recent years, Philippe Bouvard, self-confidently proud, has made numerous confessions about the errors he may have made throughout his life. His misogyny is also one of the subjects that has caused the most ink to flow. This is what he started by talking about in an interview with Le Parisien. The dean, who has a critical spirit towards himself, thus admitted his wrong and evoked one of his last wishes. “My misogyny was that of the comics of my time. But it has diminished a lot. I have become a feminist to the point of wanting a woman as President of the Republic. I would like to see that before I die”he declared.

Still in the columns of Le Parisien, Philippe Bouvard explained with great frankness: “It’s above all a bit of lucidity and late modesty. I’ve still been very pretentious in my life.”
The nonagenarian, whose state of health is feverish, then admitted: “I thought I was the navel of the world. I earned a lot of money, but I still managed to live beyond my means. I had 200 cars, three villas with three swimming pools when I didn't even know swim”. Then to end on this note: “If I had to talk about my life with the critical spirit that I reserve for others, I would not be tender.”

A feverish state of health

As indicated in our first lines, Philippe Bouvard has ended his career. This for several reasons, including one in particular: “Wait, 95 years old, that still allows you to retire with peace of mind! I'm going as you can when you've just reached your 96th year of age. That's a lot. It doesn't go without a few problems and these are not problems that we can believe to be solved”. The famous journalist then mentioned know the sight occurred in 2019: “I was one day at the Monaco casino (….) They are dominated by a large chandelier which was lit, as the Italians say, 'a giorno', and suddenly everything went black.
