John Cena will only have one year left to try to win a 17th World title and thus beat Ric Flair’s current record. Guest on the Something To Wrestle podcast, JBL spoke about John Cena’s last year as a wrestler and wants to see him win this 17th World title.
JBL tells us:
“It’s so cool to say goodbye to these incredible legends, and for me, Cena is on the same level as Dr. J. That’s one of the biggest compliments you can give. I love Cena. I hope he will win this 17th title. It would be crazy to see this record fall. It would be historic.
On the other hand, I hate the idea of him retiring. I’m going to enjoy every moment, but I really wish guys like him were here forever. In a way it will be, but it will no longer be active. Maybe he’ll do some more stuff in the future, but for the ring, it’s over, he’s retiring. What an incredible career.”
John Cena will retire from wrestling in 2025.
