Éléonore Lagacé will play Peter Pan in the musical of the same name

Éléonore Lagacé will play Peter Pan in the Quebec adaptation of the musical of the same name. She will face Captain Hook on stage, personified by Benoît Brière, from December 2025.

The wonders of Neverland will finally unfold on the stage of the St-Denis Theater in Montreal next year thanks to this first Quebec version of the Broadway classic.

In this musical adaptation of the famous tale, Peter Pan, a boy who refuses to grow up, leads the children of the Darling family to Neverland. Once there, they will have to join forces to face the infamous Captain Hook and his band of pirates.

The direction of this Quebec version will be provided by Luc Guérin, while Team White will sign the choreographies. Alice Déry (Wendy), Tommy Joubert (Fly), Léopold Lafontaine (John), Ève Dessureault (Madame Darling), Leticia Jimenez (Lily the Tornado) and Dominic Lorange (the pirate) complete the cast of this show which will also count on the presence of an orchestra of 10 musicians.

Feminine tradition

The presence of Éléonore Lagacé in the guise of Peter Pan is part of an American tradition whose origins date back to 1954.

Indeed, since the creation of the show, the title character has mainly been played by women. This role also allowed Mary Martin to win the Tony Award for Best Actress in a Musical in 1955.

  • The musical Peter Pan will be presented at the St-Denis Theater in Montreal starting December 12, 2025. It will also be presented in Quebec the following summer.
