It was Natalie Portman dressed in a daring rhinestone dress who appeared in Los Angeles on December 2. Coming to promote the series “Lady in the Lake” on the small screen, the actress caused a sensation in front of the lens.
Natalie Portman turned heads this Monday. While in Los Angeles to promote her latest production, the Apple TV series “Lady in the Lake”, the first episode of which was released on July 19, the 43-year-old actress revealed a curious outfit. This time it was not in Dior, but in a piece signed Schiaparelli that the Israeli-American producer highlighted her sculpted silhouette. A tulle mini dress embroidered with sequins in floral patterns. The model, mixing shades of blue and yellow, was unveiled during the show of the brand's spring-summer 2025 ready-to-wear collection.
Hand on hip, smirk and locks tucked behind her ears, Natalie Portman was photographed with an equally colorful beauty look. The “Black Swan” star added a touch of matte red lipstick to her lips and smoothed out her cute short bob. As for accessories, black heeled sandals with double laces revealing its dark red varnish enhanced the ensemble.

Natalie Portman, queen of thrillers
While the seven episodes of the American series have all been broadcast in small quantities this summer, the promotion of “Lady in the Lake” continues for Natalie Portman and the rest of the cast. In the drama, Benjamin Millepied's ex-wife plays Maddie Schwartz, “a housewife seeking to bury a mysterious past and reinvent herself as an investigative journalist,” according to the synopsis. The latter meets a mother fighting to provide for her family, played by American actress Moses Ingram, whom she then joined in front of the poster of the series.

Last June, Natalie Portman gave her feelings about her role in the series, during an interview with “People” magazine: “The fact that a woman wants to be free is a theme that interests me. Another theme is being a Jewish woman in Baltimore in the 1960s.” An interpretation that is close to the heart of the Oscar-winning actress, used to thrillers, who also saw in her character a family memory: “My great “My mother was from Baltimore, and that fueled my imagination to visualize what those times were like.” Especially since “Lady in the Lake” is inspired by the novel by Laura Lippman, which became a bestseller in 2019 and itself inspired by real events!
