The chorale Interlude has been in rehearsal for several months to offer its Christmas concert on Sunday December 8 at 5 p.m. in the Notre-Dame-de Guibray church, in Falaise.

In the absence of his usual choir director, Camille Nicolas, it was Keiran Mc Niff, a baritone with “so British” humor, who agreed to take over, during this absence, this position he had occupied a dozen years ago.

He is helped in this task by Fanny Le Roy, a talented pianist who immediately blended into the group.

40 singers

For 8 months now, the 40 choristers of Interlude have been rehearsing “fairly difficult” works every Thursday, including: the Magnificat by John Rutter, that by Francesco Durante, Gloria and Agnus Dei by Christopher Tambling, and Misericordia by Kim André Arnesen, and Ola Gjeilo’s Ecce Novum.

In order to give more substance to this performance, the choir will be accompanied, in addition to the piano, by a small string orchestra composed of two violins and two cellos.

It will also be reinforced, for certain works, by two soprano soloists, Laure Dagorn and Marion Jaussaud. The show presented promises to be of high choral quality to thrill the audience present.

Interlude choir concert Sunday December 8 at 5 p.m. in the Guibray church in Falaise. Free with free participation. Choir meeting every Thursday from 8 p.m. to 10 p.m. at the Maison de la Musique.
