Seth Rollins returns to attack against CM Punk
CM Punk enters for a promo. He meets Jey Uso and Sami Zayn backstage, who hesitates to shake his hand before accepting. He quickly returns to Survivor Series, and talks about his future. Royal Rumble, Elimination Chamber… WrestleMania 41 – while pointing an invisible logo in the air. But he is interrupted, and that annoys him.
This annoys him because the one who interrupts him is Seth Rollins who, already not happy to have seen him return to WWE, was not more so when he saw him team up with Roman Reigns at Survivor Series. The exchange ends in a fight, Sami Zayn, Jey Uso and several officials come to separate them.
The segment doesn’t end there, as Seth Rollins verbally attacks Jey Uso, which infuriates Sami Zayn. Rollins apologizes, he lost his temper. “But what’s your excuse? » he asks Sami Zayn for agreeing to team up with Reigns. Rollins is sure, Reigns hasn’t changed, he hasn’t even apologized. Zayn reminds him that he refused to team with them twice and that if he had accepted they wouldn’t have had to team with CM Punk. He will also remind him that it was he who created “this monster” when talking about Roman Reigns almost ten years ago, when he attacked him with a chair shot to the back to destroy the Shield.
The tone rises, and Sami Zayn ends up challenging Seth Rollins for a match in tonight’s main event. Seth Rollins agrees.
Finn Bálor’s leadership in doubt
Backstage, Liv Morgan has doubts about the point of attacking Damian Priest at Survivor Series. Finn Bálor responds that thanks to him, Priest isn’t strutting around as champion, and that if she had listened to him, she and her team would have won the WarGames match. Morgan leaves, saying she hopes Bálor knows what he’s doing. “When everyone listens to Finn, Judgment Day wins” he said in response.
Raquel Rodriguez and Liv Morgan defeated Kairi Sane and IYO SKY by fall.
After the match, Rodriguez attacks Sane but Rhea Ripley comes out and clears the ring of Rodriguez before slamming his head against the commentary table. Liv Morgan tries to stop her but ends up in the ring post. Rodriguez, however, had time to come to her senses and sent Ripley face-first into the corner of the table. Security agents separate the two wrestlers.
Behind the scenes, Finn Bálor comes to demand a shot at the world heavyweight title from Gunther, which he believes he is getting in thanks for the help he provided against Damian Priest. But Gunther doesn’t agree, he didn’t ask him for anything and didn’t want his help. He also wonders why Dominik Mysterio, who has been taunting him since the start of the segment, is so confident. “Ah but I know, it’s because he already beat Damian Priest, unlike you, and he deserves something for that unlike you” he said to Bálor, before paying Adam Pearce a visit to discuss it.
