Yannick Nézet-Séguin will direct the show Party tunes.

Presented for the first time in 2022, this large-scale concert by the Orchester Métropolitain (OM) stands out as one of the most beautiful events of this time of the year. Two evenings in a row at the Maison symphonique, Party tunes brings together on stage the musicians of the OM, the Metropolitan Choir, the jazz trio of Taurey Butler, as well as the singers Mélissa Bédard and Kim Richardson, under the baton of Yannick Nézet-Séguin. A catchy and enjoyable mix of genres.

The singer-songwriter offers for the second year in a row A little Christmas showsurrounded by his house choir – his friends! –, in addition to two magnificent guests, Salomé Leclerc and Elkahna Talbi. There will be harmonies galore, simple poetry and pure joy, in the truest spirit of Christmas.

Kent Nagano will be back with the OSM for the Holidays.

Maestro Nagano will return to Montreal for the holidays, for three concerts with the OSM. On December 10 and 11, there will be a summit meeting with Quebec contralto Marie-Nicole Lemieux, in a creation by Matthew Riketts (music) and Alain Farah (texts). Excerpts from Nutcracker by Tchaikovsky are also on the program. This will also be the case on December 12, in addition to the trad group Le Vent du , which will bring swing to the OSM, still under the direction of Kent Nagano. A very nice gift.

The talented Canadian jazz singer offers a gentle and refined evening with Winter Light/Winter Wonderland, in a prestigious pre-Christmas tour which will pass through Montreal and Quebec, before going to Toronto, and three evenings at the famous Birdland in New York. A beautiful visit, elegantly jazzy, as Emilie-Claire Barlow will be surrounded by a group of five musicians and a string quartet. With pieces taken from his Christmas album and his vast repertoire, it will be an evening as charming and warm.

December

One of the paintings of December

Two years after leaving Place des Arts, the troupe from Saguenay Québec Issime is back with its essential December. It’s now taking place at the Salle Pierre-Mercure, in the Latin Quarter, with decorations refreshed for the occasion, but the concept remains the same: a show divided into 12 scenes, composed of eight performers – several of whom were part of the initial cast –, six dancers and musicians who share the stage in a festive, dynamic and magical atmosphere.

They no longer need any presentation as they are an integral part of the show hosted by Beaudoin. The band of choristers and musicians is back for the third year with its show The holiday vigilwhich will pass through Sainte-Agathe, Brossard, Montreal, Gatineau and Quebec, among others, between now and December 22. On the menu: medleys of all kinds of course, joy in abundance, but also some more melancholic moments. A sure value.
