Noël Gallagher gave some answers…
A comeback, 15 years later
SO, what will the Gallagher brothers offer us for their big return to the stage? ? A question that many fans are entitled to ask themselves: indeed, the group’s last concert dates back to August 2009a time when Noël and Liam could no longer see themselves in painting. From tantrums to fights, the two terrible rock brothers preferred to put an end to the group, leaving many fans alone.
And 15 years later, here we are Liam and Noël put their disagreements aside to reunite on stage. News that caused a lot of noise. Enthusiasm and impatience certainly, but also anger and frustration over the catastrophic sale of tickets for their tour. So, what can we expect from this big musical comeback? Noël Gallagher gives us the first answers!
“We are too old!“Oasis, much wiser on stage?
Invited to the photographer’s Legends exhibition Zoe Law to the National Portrait Gallery in Londonwhere the musician presented the new six-hour extended version of the “Champagne Supernova“, Noël spoke half-heartedly about the group’s future tour and in particular the fact that they would be less “noisy” than at the time.
“No, it won’t be as loud as back then, because we’re over 50, we’re too old (…) We’re too old to give a shit now, so there won’t be any fallout, there won’t be any fights. It’s a victory lap for the group.” – Noël Gallagher, Interview The Sun
Now the public is warned: Oasis will be much more”sage”. Information that is unlikely to change your mind Sex Pistols bassist Glen Matlockwho had already qualified the group “boring“. An interview which did not fail to provoke a reaction from the most sanguine of the brothers, Liam, who immediately retorted a very salty reply of which he alone has the secret:
“Fuck him, the Pistols were Sid” – Liam Gallagher
