The emblematic show presented by Nagui temporarily gives way to the traditional Telethon, an unmissable end-of-year charity event. To resume the musical rhythm of Nagui and his candidates, you will have to wait until Monday, December 2.
An edition organized earlier than usual
Starting this evening, from 6:45 p.m., France 2 will broadcast the 38th edition of the charity marathon, the objective of which is to raise funds to finance research into rare genetic diseases. Last year, the event raised nearly 93 million euros, or 12 million more than in 2022. This year, the organizers hope to do even better, supported by an exceptional sponsor: the singer Mika.
Succeeding Vianney, the Franco-Lebanese artist shared his enthusiasm in an interview with “Parisien”: “I am happy to be the godfather of something so perfect, concrete and remarkable.” For Mika, this participation in the Telethon will mark the last appearance on French television. “In France, it's over. I'm stopping all my TV shows in France”, he declared on the set of “Taratata” on Friday, November 15. Guest on Europe 1 on November 28, the 41-year-old singer explained that he wanted to concentrate on preparing a new album.

Presented by Sophie Davant, Nagui and Cyril Féraud, this television marathon will also feature Sacha, an 8-year-old boy suffering from Duchenne muscular dystrophy. Thanks to gene therapy developed with Telethon funds, the latter regained muscular strength that he thought he had lost forever. A medical breakthrough which illustrates the crucial importance of donations.
