The art gallery of the Mirepoix Tourist Office is hosting an exceptional exhibition from Tuesday December 3 to Monday December 9 inclusive.

Five local artists will come together in the crafts room of the Mirepoix Tourist Office to showcase their paintings, photos, jewelry, books, etc. which could well inspire you a few days before the end of year holidays!

For photographer Alain Cramer, it all started in 2011 in Berlin, in front of a building, with walls painted with a thousand frescoes, doomed to disappear. Camera in hand, it is by focusing his gaze on details that he detects in this apparent disorder, balances, harmonies and feels emotions. In his “Photographic Paintings”, without staging or technical manipulations, Alain Cramer restores, from New York to Bangkok via London and , the vibration, energy and sensitivity of each city.

Created in 2021 by Sylvia Guerrero, the independent publishing house Samuqué, highlights the literary talents of women. Fiction novels, real-life stories, science fiction, detective stories, love and humor… make up the editorial line of Samuqué. Eleinad, author of the publishing house, will present her book “One last chance – Eva” on the story of Marie, little spared by life despite a few happy moments and beautiful encounters, and of her daughter Eva, caught in the torment of global chaos due to the madness of men.

Passionate about ancient, ethnic and contemporary stones and jewelry, Brigitte Malagiès essentially creates jewelry in silver and gemstones, mother-of-pearl, wood, leather and natural materials… In an energetic and holistic approach, she seeks balance and harmony between the vibration, the aesthetics, the color of the stones and the metal used. Different techniques are favored such as stamping, chasing, hammering, stone setting and bead compositions.

Gina Malagiès’ colorful works on canvas and wood have been nourished, over time and over the years, by landscapes of Provence, New Caledonia and Occitania: seasides, bouquets of flowers, sunsets …

As for François Roman, graphic designer, photographer and videographer, he accompanied artists in the fields of music, theater and dance for nearly 20 years before the more intimate chapter of personal creation opened. Today he produces photos and videos linked to his own history or inspired by the history of art, and has also immortalized spaces of local industrial heritage linked to textiles.
