In Luxembourg: A teenager was attacked by stray dogs à la Kinnekswiss

A 16-year-old teenager was attacked by stray dogs on Thursday afternoon around 4 p.m. at Kinnekswiss in Luxembourg City. According to our information, the young man was returning on foot from the Christmas market ice rink with a friend when he was attacked by three dogs, accompanied by a person “with suspicious behavior”. “My son was thrown to the ground and bitten several times on the leg,” says the victim’s father. An ambulance and the police quickly responded to the scene. His injuries required emergency medical treatment. He then had to be hospitalized for several hours to receive stitches and a rabies vaccine.

Still according to the victim’s father, the teenager managed to scare the dogs away, before the person who accompanied them fled. “My son suffered real trauma. For him, it didn’t end too badly, but imagine if the dogs had attacked a young child or a person incapable of defending themselves?

This Friday afternoon, the Grand Ducal police indicated to The essentials that the owner of the [des] dogs could not be found “despite an extensive search operation”. She added that an investigation had been opened.
