Gérard Darmon is accused by nine women of sexist and sexual violence. According to a survey of «Political»the nine women are dressers, makeup artists, hairdressers and production assistants who worked with the actor. All of these women were under the age of 30 at the time of the alleged events, one of whom had just reached the age of majority.

The victims say they suffered non-consensual physical contact, humiliation and sexual propositions from the French actor, who notably starred in “Asterix: Mission Cleopatra”. The facts allegedly took place on filming locations, in rehearsal, in the closed cabin of a dressing room, at the canteen table or on the set during a period spanning between 2018 and last summer.

Contacted by “Politis”, Gérard Darmon denies everything outright. No complaint has yet been filed against the actor who has appeared in more than 80 feature films and 20 films over the past fifty years.

“Little slut”

The youngest of the women, a trainee and barely 19 years old when she met the actor, describes him as “very honeyed, pressing his kisses to the corner of his mouth”. He allegedly said to her: “You are young, you are beautiful. We can make love, you can come to my place.” Annoyed by the intern’s refusal, Gérard Darmon allegedly humiliated her: “You prefer that I call you female dog or little slut.” After alerting the production and noting that nothing had been done to protect her, the young woman left the set and filed a complaint against the production company for non-protection.

On the same shoot, a production assistant explained that Gérard Darmon would have “put his hand between her thighs [lui] saying hello. He would have continued by telling her: “It’s okay, you’re not going to give me a #MeToo!” and then “rough him up for two weeks”.

“Wandering hands”

The French actor was described as insistent, angry, sexist and humiliating. Among the victims, several women said that the production, on at least four shoots in which they participated, would have warned them about the behavior and the “wandering hands” of Gérard Darmon. Without him having been worried.

Note that ten other women also reportedly testified to the French media, but ultimately refused to have their comments published.
