Scheduled for January 2025, the next film by director Houda Benyamina risks getting people talking. We'll explain it to you.
Among the literary works most adapted to cinema, “The Three Musketeers” occupies a special place.
The most famous novel by Alexandre Dumas has in fact seen more than 35 film adaptations. The latest, in which Vincent Cassel, François Civil, Romain Duris and Pio Marmaï shared the bill, was a resounding success in 2023.

Women take power in “All for One”
An inexhaustible source for the seventh art, the cloak-and-dagger work will once again be brought to the screen in 2025 with, this time, a surprising scenario to say the least which, without a doubt, will not leave indifferent person.
Directed by Houda Benyamina – whose previous film “Divines” (2016) won 3 Césars – this new adaptation (entitled “All for One”) offers a revisited story with… female musketeers. A 100% female version played by actresses Oulaya Amamra, Déborah Lukumuena, Daphné Patakia and Sabrina Ouazani.
In the trailer, revealed on November 22, we can see this quartet in action in numerous combat scenes. These new kind of musketeers must come to the aid of the Queen of France (played by actress Georgina Amorós). To carry out this mission, they must pretend to be men and are forced to hide their true identity with bandages on their chests, but also false mustaches and wigs.
The plot of “All for One” first follows a young girl named Sarah (Oulaya Amamra), who we quickly identify as the female counterpart of d'Artagnan. Imprisoned, the latter is freed by three women disguised as men and who have joined the royal corps of musketeers. Seduced by their audacity and their code of honor, she decides to join them, thus contributing to their fight for justice and freedom.
Just as in the original work, we should find key characters from the novel, such as Cardinal Richelieu for example.
This new version, which some already describe as “woke” (as we can see in the screenshots below) will be released in theaters on January 22, 2025.
