It is the event exhibition not to be missed! From December 3, 2024 to June 15, 2025, the year commemorating the 150th anniversary of the birth of Maurice-Ravel, the Philharmonie de is organizing the Ravel Boléro exhibition.

The route will offer a striking audiovisual experience while bringing together heritage objects from the most prestigious French collections, notably from the Ravel house museum, in Montfort l’Amaury (). House where the Boléro was composed! Here, we are looking forward to this upcoming event.

70 objects from the house museum loaned for the exhibition

Next to 70 objects of the house museum were loaned for the occasion, and this, for the first time since its opening in 1973: its composition office, his record playerhis radio, family portraits, one of his traveling trunks, his games and puzzlehis father’s engineering drawings and many others treasures encore.

But visitors to the museum can rest assured, this does not mean that Ravel’s house finds itself destitute.

“We took other objects out of the museum’s reserves that the public had never before seen the possibility of seeing! »

Drawingstoys, autographs, bottles, travel trunksvests… so many pieces that will be presented to visitors for the very first time.

Besides the guided toursby reservation only to preserve the house museum, the Town of Montfort l’Amaury wanted to promote Ravel in other ways.

Since this year, she now has a cultural program entitled The Seasons of Belvedere. Concerts, spectaclesmusical workshops, meetings with great composers contemporaries always linked to the work and personality of Maurice-Ravel in order to disseminate and understand his musical heritage.

A program open to as many people as possible, with the highlight this year being the opening concert of Maurice-Ravel’s 150th anniversary.

“Our desire is really to bring Ravel to life, to play his musiquetalk about his legacy », confides Anne Million, who has already announced that the cultural season will be busy in 2025, for 150 years since birthby Maurice Ravel.

Christmas concert, with Alexandre Tharaud and actor Raphaël Personnaz

Internationally renowned pianist, Alexandre Tharaud will inaugurate Maurice-Ravel’s birthday celebrations in Montfort l’Amaury with carte blanche full of promises.
The icing on the cake, Raphaël Personnaz, the actor who starred in Anne ’s film Boléro, will be present. He will read letters from Maurice-Ravel. The film dedicated to the maestro this year had an influence on the number of visitors to the house museum. Especially since it was the only natural setting for the film.
