Lhen it was created in 1989, Cinemamed (Brussels Mediterranean Cinema Festival) aimed to “highlight quality films anchored in the Mediterranean region while promoting Brussels’ links to this part of the world”. A way to anchor cinema in a valuable way in society, and to allow the public to encounter the films. For his 24e edition, which takes place from 11/28 to 12/6, the festival combines previews, nuggets drawn from the international scene, and moments of sharing. To point out in particular: animated by Emma Benestan, Rough diamond by Agathe Riedinger, Souleymane’s story by Boris Lojkin, Women on the balcony by Noémie Merlant or even Vermilion by Maura Delpero. Without forgetting a special program around the 60th anniversary of the immigration agreements which unite Belgium with Morocco and Turkey.
