A woman was arrested Monday in connection with ticket fraud for Taylor Swift concerts in Toronto.

Denise Tisor, of Burlington, Ontario, allegedly sold tickets on Facebook Marketplace under the pseudonym “Denise Blackhawk,” according to a Toronto police news release released Tuesday.
She allegedly offered tickets for several dates and different seats at the Rogers Centre.
Once they agreed on the price, the victims made a wire transfer to pay the full amount for the tickets.
The woman allegedly warned the victims that tickets would only be sent in the days before the concert.
But on the day of Taylor Swift’s show, the victims discovered that the tickets had not been transferred to their account.
When they asked for a refund, Denise Tisor reportedly told them that the money was no longer there.
In total, “28 victims paid for fraudulent tickets with a total value of just under $70,000,” it is stated in the Toronto police press release.
Dozens of people who thought they had purchased tickets to see Taylor Swift in Toronto have posted videos and messages on social media explaining that they were victims of fraud.
Some had also purchased their tickets in August 2023.
Toronto police believe that Denise Tisor could have caused other victims and are inviting victims to file a complaint.
The alleged fraudster must appear before the Ontario Court of Justice on January 10.
