Julien Lepers reacts to the disappearance of the voice-over from the show Questions pour un champion

On November 21, 2024, the BFMTV channel relayed the announcement of the death of a leading figure in Questions for a Champion. Information which was subsequently confirmed by the TV Conseil agency which manages the show’s communications. Indeed, on November 19, 2024, William Pinville died. The latter was known for having been the voice-over of the France 3 program for nearly 25 years, from 1992 to 2016. When Julien Lepers, historic host of Questions for a Championwas ousted in favor of Samuel Etienne, who still holds the reins every evening of the week, William Pinville had left the ship in turn.

Viewers were used to hearing his voice when the players entered the stage, won gifts or even when an update was made on the amount of the prize pools. William Pinville also made a brief appearance on screen in April 2015 when he hosted the game for a few seconds in place of Julien Lepers. Contacted by telephone by radio Europe 1 for the broadcast Culture Media from Thomas Isle, Julien Lepers spoke on Friday November 22, 2024 about this disappearance and confirmed that he would be present at the funeral of his friend.
