Passi, Lilian Thuram, JoeyStarr… Karine Le Marchand has lived several love stories, but unfortunately none has stood the test of time.
Now single, the star host seems in search of a man “good and caring“to share his life. But things are not that simple… Far from rushing, the fifty-year-old displays very precise criteria and high standards.
After taking a step back and reflecting on her past experiences, she becomes more selective and visibly seeks to avoid mistakes made before.
Karine Le Marchand ready for a new relationship
“It's exhilarating, freedom, but it can be a precipice. Personally, I am at a stage where I have identified what attracted me and hurt me. I don't like these dominant males anymore, it's settled, I've done the work“, she confided in the columns of the last issue of TV Magazineon newsstands this Tuesday, November 26, 2024.
Karine Le Marchand fully embraces this personal journey. She also seems to have found an inner balance which allows her to better understand what she is truly looking for. But, as she also confesses, ideal love is not without challenges: “However, when I meet a good and caring person, and I experienced it not long ago, I am bored to death“.
A surprising admission which shows that, for the farmers' godmother, the quest for the perfect partner does not lie only in kindness and benevolence, but also in a certain passion and complicity.
A clear opinion on the modern couple
For Karine Le Marchand, the idea of the ideal man has evolved over time. “For me, today, a guy has to arrive without a suitcase. I'm not here to fix“, she explained during her interview with our colleagues. A clear message which shows her desire not to engage in a relationship where she would be considered as a simple “nurse“.
For her, a relationship can only be healthy if both partners nourish each other : “I believe that in love, giving to someone you don't know is bullshit.” An observation that echoes a time when commitment was built on a deep knowledge of others.
“I think back to my mother's time, the engagement, the chaperone… Commitment didn't happen overnight, there was learning from the other! Today, we call ourselves a couple after a month, even before knowing who the other person really is, how they behave with their parents or their colleagues, how they address a waiter or a stranger… Romantic feelings must be born with knowledge of the other, that's my conviction.“A word to the wise!
