Here’s How Many Parents Consider Themselves Better At Parenting Thanks To Teleworking

Following the Covid-19 pandemic and new technologies, teleworking has become enormously more widespread, so much so that dividing your week between teleworking and working in the office is has become the norm when the profession allows it.

From then on, hybrid work has necessarily impacted family life, and the way we parent. And in a good way, apparently, according to a new survey (Source 1), conducted in August 2024 among 1,000 parents in France by International Workplace Group (IWG), a provider of solutions for hybrid work.

Surveying remote executives living with their children, the study found that more than 7 in 10 parents (72%) said they felt they had become better parents thanks to flexible working.

Substantial savings and family time

88% said hybrid working allowed them to find a better work-life balanceHybrid work would even make it possible tosave 5,200 euros per year on childcare costs of children, according to the survey. Teleworking often allows parents topick up their children from school or of reduce evening or morning daycare timeeven if it means working at other times of the day.
