Fashion. The Moroccan caftan is a sensation in Seville

Organized in collaboration with the autonomous community of Andalusia, this fashion event, entitled “We love Morocco”, was an opportunity to discover the know-how and the latest creations of Moroccan stylists and to appreciate the elegance and refinement outfits drawn from centuries-old Moroccan heritage.

A rich collection of sumptuous pieces, richly decorated and enhanced with handmade embroidery and other finishes applied to the caftan, was presented during these two fashion shows in the presence of Lorena García de Izarra, general director of the Three Cultures Foundation, and Dounia Dlirou, consul general of the Kingdom in Seville.

During the first evening, the public was able to discover the creations of the young talents of Caftan Week 2024 (Imane Bamouss, Said Illi, Marwa Aboud and Maison Chafai Couture), who each expressed the quintessence of an unequaled millennial culture that they perpetuate and make people discover it beyond borders.

During the second evening, famous Moroccan haute couture stylists (Meryem Boussikouk, Siham El Habti, Samira Mhaidi and Karim Tassi) came to present their latest creations, true works of art, to the delight of an audience. numerous made up of haute couture professionals but also simple admirers of the Moroccan caftan whose reputation has crossed borders.

A flagship event of the “Month of Morocco” in Seville, the double parade highlighted the finesse and refinement of Moroccan creations, a reflection of ancestral culture and know-how, indicated the general director of the Fondation des three cultures.

This is an opportunity to introduce the Sevillian public to the Moroccan caftan, a symbol of identity, tradition and modernity, an object that reflects the know-how and talent of Moroccan designers, she said. affirmed.

Organized by the Foundation in collaboration with other cultural actors, Morocco Month in Seville is an annual event that shines the spotlight on Morocco throughout the month of November through a rich and varied program. The objective is to highlight the cultural diversity of the Kingdom and the richness of its heritage and to strengthen the rapprochement between the two shores.
