From the village of Naïma, near Oujda, the Moroccan singer Lazaro has traced his path with patience and passion, succeeding in establishing himself on the artistic scene. His famous hit “Mahboul Ana”, which exceeded 167 million views on YouTube in just four months, climbing to 27th place in the world ranking of best Music videos, is one of his best achievements.
In an exclusive interview with Le360Lazaro spoke about his journey, the secrets of his success, the multiple challenges he faced and his ambitions for the future. From his point of view, dreams know no limits with will and work.

The key to success
Asked about the recipe for his success, Lazaro explains that sincerity and hard work are the main keys to his success. He adds that the participation of celebrities in the video for the song “Mahboul Ana” undoubtedly contributed greatly to this.

In an unexpected revelation, Lazaro commented on a report that “Mahboul Ana” was first offered to Saad Lamjarred, who turned it down because it did not fit his musical style. Lazaro says: “I wasn’t aware of this information, but Saad is a great artist. Maybe if he had sung it, it would have had a different success».
A collaboration with Hatim Ammor
Lazaro also spoke about collaborating with Hatim Ammor on his new song “Psychologue,” which he described as a unique experience. “Hatim Ammor is known for his refined taste in choosing songs. When I offered him “Psychologue”, which I composed in collaboration with Elvis, he immediately appreciated it».
He continues: “Working with Hatim in the studio was a very pleasant experience. I am delighted with this collaboration and I wish it every success».
A Joy Awards nomination and an inspiring message
The “Mahboul Ana” singer is happy to be nominated for the Joy Awards in the Best New Artist category. “I am proud of this nomination and I hope that the public will support me by voting for me, so that I can fly the Moroccan flag in Riyadh».
Lazaro also spoke about the criticism he received after his performance at the Fun Festival in Casablanca. He explains that he has learned to accept them better: “I am no longer affected by criticism, but some comments received after my participation in this festival bothered me. So I decided to answer it with song».
