“ART4DIPLOMATIE” exhibition at the INEX gallery

Described as a goodwill ambassador of Bulgarian culture by national radio, Petya Ilieva considers art as a means of bringing people together. Her goal is to always reach “the widest possible audience,” she says.

The Bulgarian artist has already been exhibited in several galleries in Sofia including that of the State Cultural Institute under the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Bulgaria, at the National Assembly of the Republic of Bulgaria and at the Palace of “Vrana » by Sofia.

To illustrate his international participation and his numerous exhibitions abroad, we can cite those in Vienna (2007), kyiv (2010), (2013, 2014), Brussels (2014), Valencia (2015), Delhi (2015) , Prague (2016), Chicago (2016), New York (2017), Tokyo (2017), Beirut (2017), Doha (2018), Havana (2024) and São Paulo (2024), as well as other cities around the world.

In addition to working in the field of illustration of printed publications, in applied decorative art and in the restoration of paintings and furniture of artistic value, she organizes workshops in art schools and for private groups.

Fouziya Saidi is a Moroccan acrylic painter known for combining new and classic trends in her works. In a style close to the naive of bright and varied colors, she manages to create exceptional pieces that captivate and inspire her observers.

His artistic career was gradually built on a solid technical training and a constant commitment to the exploration of acrylic painting. This discipline allows him to constantly push the limits of his art.

Before devoting herself fully to art, Fouziya Saidi held administrative positions, notably as an invoicing assistant at Carrosserie Industrielle du Maroc (1977) and at the Compagnie Marocaine des Hydrocarbures (1978) in Casablanca. She graduated in automation from the Institute of Automation of Casablanca (1976) and studied at Lycée Fatima Zahra where she completed her 5th year in 1975.

Petya Ilieva’s visit to Morocco is the first of its kind. His paintings should be welcomed with interest, given the range of shared motifs between traditional Bulgarian and Amazigh textile art. The works of Fouziya Saidi respond to the works of the Bulgarian artist through their abundance of often similar colors, their canvases thus reveal resemblances that go beyond borders.

The opening of the exhibition took place this Thursday, November 21 in the evening, at the INEX by Chaoui gallery, under the title “ART4DIPLOMATIE”, in the presence of His Excellency Mr. Plamen Tzolov, Ambassador of Bulgaria to Morocco. The exhibition will last until December 11, 2024.
