Sunday December 1, 2024, at 5 p.m., comedian Olivier de Benoist will be on stage at Espace Ronsard du Crazy (Sarthe).
A double event since the artist presents his brand new single on stage “The right to happiness”a show on view in Paris from October 17 to December 28, 2024, the Lude is one of the first dates of his tour before Le Mans, Angers, Nantes, in 2025.
Olivier de Benoist is one of the headliners of the 2024-2025 cultural season proposed by the association Le Ronsard.
From born under
Olivier de Benoist was born in Reims, after training as a lawyer, he trained as an actor, his passion was magic and comedy.
Following a series of castings, he appeared in advertisements (Knorr, Téva, etc.).
In 2002, he staged his first solo performance with the play “Registered model” created and performed by Benoît Poelvoorde in 1996.
In 2003, Olivier de Benoist wrote his first play “Born under X” already a family story, where a son waits to meet his father… in a sperm bank!
In 2004, it was « Loft Sorry »a parody piece on one-character reality TV in which viewers become lofters.
In 2005, he created his first solo on stage “High bandwidth”, then in 2006 “Very high bandwidth”, followed in 2008 by “Very very high speed”, more than 600 performances in Paris and in the provinces. THE success is growing.
In 2010, the small screen audience discovered him through the show “We just want to laugh about it” created by Laurent Ruquier and from 2012 in the show of Michel Drucker “Can’t wait next Sunday.”
In 2013, a new single on stage with “Fournisseur d’excess”, 220,000 spectators in two years of performances in Paris and on tour.
From 2016 to 2018, 100,000 spectators are won over by his new show “O/40”.
In 2016, he filmed his first role on the big screen in the film “My Boy” with Guillaume Canet and Mélanie Laurent.
TV films also like « Candice Renoir » and lately “Captain Marleau” and “On the slab”.
In 2019, After having talked a lot about his mother-in-law and his wife in his previous shows, he decided to get angry with the only members of his family who still supported him: his children through “The Little One”, more of 125,000 spectators in theaters.
New show
In this new show, Olivier de Benoist decided to react by responsible father.
Feeling a bit melancholic, he decided to recharge his batteries with his family. After a few days of being around his wife and children on a daily basis, his condition changed radically; he is now totally depressed and is even considering suicide.
Being well aware that telling a child that they have been abandoned is the best way to traumatize them for life, he decides to leave without telling them anything. But far too altruistic and generous to keep the secret of happiness all to himself, Olivier de Benoist decided to share with his audience the thousand and one ways to go and buy cigarettes without anyone noticing, with the obvious “To live happy, live, certainly hidden, but above all far from his family.
