“He’s the one who asked me to make this film”
Highlight of this tribute, the screening of the short film Post-Script directed by Théodore Voisard, grandson of the poet, allowed us to find the poet, in front of his audience, for this cinematographic testament, filmed last August.
“It was he who asked me to make this film. I took it a little lightly. I put the camera down and off we went!”, says the young director, to whom his great -father confided, after seeing the film: “I should have worked on my acting more!”
This very moving short film gives voice to a man who has had time to live and learn to discover what is hidden behind words. “You have to love to live, the opposite being also necessary”, Alexandre Voisard soliloquizes there, before offering one last piece of advice: “If you love me, reread me often. Other words are hidden behind the words, don’t do not let yourself be led astray.”
“The story of a scoundrel from Ajoie”
A second film, produced by the Cantonal Library and entitled Brothers in art, brothers in armsspoke of the meeting between Alexandre Voisard and the painter Jean-François Comment who gave another dimension to the Jura struggle by creating lithographs celebrating freedom with rare power.
“The life of Alexandre Voisard is the story of a rascal from Ajoie who wanted to become a poet,” underlined Valery Rion who will be remembered above all for his kindness and mischief. As for Bruno Chapatte, he will keep the image of the poet and bookseller who, while he was a high school student, introduced him, with his wife Thérèse, to poetry and literature.
