An exclusive song by Grégory Lemarchal was unveiled this Saturday, November 23 during the Star Academy bonus, one of the last texts he wrote before his death.

“And if you feel that the day is coming, that you can live tomorrow, you will be the only star to see the horizon of your future coming.” These few words, written down on paper by Grégory Lemarchal at the twilight of his life, were revealed exclusively during the Star Academy prime this Saturday, November 23 on TF1. Taken up by the students of this 12th season in homage to the singer who died 17 years ago, the image of the “little prince with the voice of an angel” still hovers over the legendary French musical talent show which is celebrating its 20th anniversary.

Lucie Bernardoni, finalist of the fourth season against Grégory, had presented this new song and the context in which it had been written to the class of 2024 the previous Saturday. “We talked about it quite a bit with Grégory’s parents, because we found it important that you know why he wrote this song and when,” she explained to them.

As a reminder, Grégory Lemarchal died on April 30, 2007 in , as a result of cystic fibrosis against which he had always fought. This last text, which he never had time to put into a box, openly evokes his feelings regarding his fight against the illness which consumed him.

This collective version is now available on all streaming platforms, all profits from which will be donated to the Grégory Lemarchal association, which actively participates in research to fight cystic fibrosis.
