Overwhelmed by a “Mediapart” investigation last May, Édouard Baer has since deserted the stage. Six months later, the Antoine theater published a press release indicating the actor's return next January.
Édouard Baer was targeted last May by the media “Cheek” and “Mediapart”, jointly reporting the testimonies of six women. This journalistic investigation reported inappropriate behavior that the actor allegedly engaged in, between 2013 and 2021, with colleagues aged around twenty.
Following these revelations, Édouard Baer canceled the performances of his only stage performance “My candidacy”, originally scheduled for this summer at the Théâtre Antoine, in Paris. If the women's testimonies did not result in complaints, the actor nevertheless reacted to these accusations shortly after.

In a written statement to “Mediapart” and “Cheek”, he expressed his astonishment and sadness: “I do not recognize myself in the words or gestures attributed to me, but I can only express my regret that my behavior made these women uncomfortable or hurt. I didn't have the intelligence to perceive it. I am deeply sorry. I never intentionally tried to hurt them. I apologize to them all. »

To adorn the peak, the rock, the cape, the peninsula, Édouard Baer was chosen. This announcement thus revealed the actor's return to the stage. From January 28, he will perform for fifty dates alongside actors Alexia Giordano, Clément Moreau and Gilles Gaston-Dreyfus.
