At 82, Eddy Mitchell is still on all fronts. The singer is indeed preparing to release a new album entitled “Amigos”. This disc, which will be the fortieth of his career, will be released on November 29.
To this, we must add the release of a book which was to be released on November 8… but whose promotion was postponed, due to the artist's health concerns.
Eddy Michell makes a notable appearance
The month of November was obviously synonymous with rest for Eddy Mitchell. Subject to some health concerns, the 82-year-old singer was forced to cancel promotion of his new book. In this work called “Autobiography”, the artist tells his story in a rare way and looks back at his childhood, his private life and his successful career.
He thus evokes his role as a father, not always easy with his job which has caused him numerous absences. “Not a bad father, but an absent father” he corrects. And the artist makes revelations about his addiction to games and how his wife helped him get out of it, to the point of being banned from casinos, because he was in a vicious vicious circle. His wife gave him an ultimatum. “Was it the game or her” he wrote in his book.
Eddy Mitchell is visibly back on his feet since he will be, this Sunday, November 24, 2024, starring in the show “Seven to Eight” on TF1. Audrey Crespo-Mara has just revealed on Instagram that the singer is the subject of the famous “Portrait of the week”.
Unexpected revelations about his state of health
This Friday, November 22, 2024, the singer was also mentioned in the show “Bonjour!”, the morning show on TF1. “Eddy Mitchell, who was in the middle of promoting his new album, stopped everything three weeks ago, for health reasons,” Bruce Toussaint first recalled.
And Candice Mahout responds: “He's better! It takes more to reach the animal. Audrey Crespo-Mara did well because she obtained the only television interview with Eddy Mitchell to promote his new album and she started with a very simple question …”.
In an excerpt from the interview which will be broadcast in “Sept à Huit”, Audrey Crespo-Mara asks Mitchell: “How are you? We were supposed to see each other three weeks ago…”. To which the singer responds: “It's going slowly, I had pneumonia. I've been smoking since I was 14, but I stopped a month ago, so we'll see…”.
With his legendary frankness, Eddy Mitchell continues: “The doctors say that you should not smoke, you should not drink, you should not eat fatty foods… You shouldn't give a damn!”
