The romantic marriage of Ludwig of Bavaria with Sophie-Alexandra Evekink
Prince Ludwig of Bavaria married Sophie-Alexandra Evekink in Munich on May 20, 2023. A romantic and joyful wedding where no less than 1,000 guests were invited. Among all the European elite, the most prestigious German princely families were there.
The day could not be more beautiful in Munich this May 20. There is a crowd on the square of the Theatin church where the bride is about to enter on her father’s arm, and preceded by a string of little maids of honor and little pages. Sophie-Alexandra Evekink is divine in her white dress with a boat neckline and long sleeves embroidered with lace, whose floral motifs run over her bodice and her petticoat. In her loose hair, she has placed a tiara composed of diamond flowers and foliage whose center is set with sapphires which holds a veil embroidered with delicate flowers. In a few minutes, she is about to say “yes” to Prince Ludwig, heir to the kings of Bavaria.

Less than a year after the formalization of their relationship at the wedding of Prince Pál-Antal Esterházy and Franziska von Reutter, on July 30, 2022, Ludwig and Sophie-Alexandra are now husband and wife! On leaving the church, the newlyweds are warmly applauded by their families and friends, who would not have missed this day for anything in the world.
All the European elite is of course invited to the wedding like most of the German princely families. The approximately 1,000 guests of the bride and groom then gathered at Nymphenburg Castle where the wedding reception was organized in the evening.
