what changes for ticket prices

The amusement park located in Seine-et- announced new pricing on Tuesday, based on demand. A practice already in place in certain cultural and travel sectors. Consequence: you will have to do it in advance so as not to pay the high price.

News that could spoil the meeting with Mickey. This Tuesday, the management of Disneyland (Seine-et-Marne) announced a small revolution in its ticketing with the implementation of dynamic pricing.

Behind this name, still little known, hides a system that is already in use, since it applies to concerts, or even plane tickets. The higher the demand and the closer the event date, the more the price will increase.

The amusement park is not its first attempt at diversifying its ticketing. Pricing was already adapted to different times of the year for many years, whether school holidays, weekdays or weekends. But with dynamic pricing, the rules change slightly. And not for the simplest.

From 50 to 119 euros

As the Disneyland Paris park’s communications department explains to RMC Conso, information about this new pricing was first transmitted to groups of fans, before being confirmed to the press.

Concretely, the price variation takes place within a fixed range. Count 50 euros (compared to 56 previously) for a daily dated ticket for a park at the lowest price and 119 euros for the most expensive. In detail, visitors will be able to take advantage of 153 dates where the price is equal to or less than 65 euros for a dated ticket.

“This range [de prix] “wider encourages guests to book in advance to maximize the opportunity to obtain the lowest prices,” adds Disney’s communications department.

The park wants to reassure visitors

If the information did not fail to provoke a reaction, management tried to reassure, explaining that prices remain in this range, outside of “special” days where “specific experiences” take place, such as during the festivities of Halloween on October 31, July 14, or even New Year’s Eve, important periods for the park. For these three days, tickets can go up to 150 euros per person.

Important detail, the prices displayed in your basket at the time of purchase remain the same until validation. And for 60 minutes, the amusement park’s communications service provides us with this. The only trick to not paying the full price is to book your experience as early as possible, to lock in the price.

In addition, the establishment now allows tickets to be reserved 18 months in advance, compared to 12 previously. As for changes and full refunds, they remain possible up to three days before the visit. The Disneyland Paris park ticket office can be consulted by following this link.
