Superstar Lady Gaga, Californian rockers Green Day and American rapper Post Malone will headline the famous Coachella music festival in April, its organizers announced on Wednesday.
American rapper Missy Elliott, British singer Charli XCX, Texan rapper Megan Thee Stallion and rapper, also from Texas, Travis Scott will also be there in the Californian desert.
Coachella opens the festival season in the United States.
The 2025 edition will be held over two three-day weekends, from April 11 to 13 and April 18 to 20. It is very rare for Coachella dates and schedule to be announced this far in advance.
Scott’s performance will be all the more anticipated as he was on the bill for the 2020 edition which was ultimately canceled due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
South African singer Tyla, also invited to Coachella in the spring, missed the 2024 edition because she was injured.
Festival-goers and eclectic music lovers will also be able to see and listen to Venezuelan conductor Gustavo Dudamel, with his Los Angeles Philharmonic, before he directs the New York Philharmonic from 2026.
Finally, Brazilian singer Anitta and German pioneers and veterans of electronic music, Kraftwerk, will also be there.
Last year, Coachella vibrated to the sounds of Lana Del Rey, Doja Cat and Tyler the Creator.
Global megastar Taylor Swift was also there, but as a spectator.
