70 years of history and in Brussels – Lisa Lorenzelli – Go Out!

BRAFA stands out for its ability to bring together different periods, styles and artistic disciplines in a harmonious and stimulating framework. The 2025 edition will be no exception with the participation of some 130 international galleries from 14 countries. Among the new galleries expected this year, some of the most prestigious on the market: COLNAGHI, specialist in old masters and European masterpieces, as well as Stoppenbach & Delestre, renowned for its expertise in impressionism and modern art. In addition, to mark this exceptional anniversary, BRAFA has chosen to invite Joana Vasconcelos, a Portuguese artist known worldwide for her monumental sculptures and textile art. Her work is a true bridge between tradition and modernity, and she does not hesitate to explore themes as varied as femininity, consumption, popular culture and power. Its most striking installation, “the Valkyries”, will be one of the highlights of the fair. These Nordic mythological figures, boldly revisited, are dressed in vibrantly patterned fabrics, creating a real visual explosion.

These sessions will allow you to learn more about the history of the works, conservation techniques, and even art market trends. Discussions on themes such as upcycling or sustainability in art are also an integral part of this resolutely contemporary dynamic. The fair also highlights art conservation with demonstrations that will give you an insight into the techniques used to preserve treasures of the past.
